A forest fire fuel management project on the Arrow Lakes is nearing completion.
The 22-hectare prescribed burn near Edgewood is expected to be finished by the end of the month.
Regional district emergency co-ordinator Noreen Clayton says lots of other areas could use similar work.
Funding for the Edgewood project and three others was provided through a Union of BC Municipalities program.
The regional district and Columbia Basin Trust also chipped in.
