Nelson RCMP officers are seeking to identify the owner of a red boat that was found along the shoreline below Johnstone Road on Wednesday morning.
Just before 8:30 a.m., the detachment received a report of a vessel that had collided with the shoreline of Kootenay Lake the previous evening at approximately 10 p.m.
The vessel is described as an older red aluminum boat, approximately 17 feet in length.
It was found on its side among the rocks along the shoreline below Johnstone Road.
Nelson RCMP are looking to identify the owner of the vessel and ask anyone with information regarding its owner or the collision on Tuesday evening to contact the Nelson RCMP at 250-352-2156.
