BC announce top employers

BC Transit, Teck and Interior Health have made the 2025 top 100 employers in Canada list.

BC Transit makes the list for the fifth consecutive year, with CEO Erinn Pinkerton saying is an honour and speaks to the consistent efforts of their dynamic, hard-working and diverse team.

“Fostering an inclusive work environment where people can thrive and grow is important to us, as our organization works hard to deliver transportation services you can rely on.” Said Pinkerton.

BC Transit has more than 1,000 employees with a wide range of careers that include drivers, maintenance and administration positions. This Crown Corporation offers benefits that encourage a strong focus on both physical and mental wellness, where employees are encouraged to thrive, learn and grow. There are also more than 1,700 indirect employees working for our contracted operating partners across B.C

The top BC employer competition examines eight factors when determining its winners. They include the physical workplace, work atmosphere, health and family benefits, vacation policies, employee communications, performance management, training and skills development, and community involvement.

Meanwhile Interior Health also made the list again.

“This recognition is a testament to the quality and character of people we continue to recruit, train and retain,” said IH president & CEO Susan Brown.

“We recognize that what we do each day contributes to our aspiration to build a supportive and compassionate culture, which translates to positive patient experiences and the well-being of the people we serve.”
