Nelson Police ask Fairview parents, do you know where your teenager is?

Nelson Police Department are asking parents and guardians to pay attention to what their children are up to, following several late night calls over the last few weeks.

Police have been alerted to groups of teenagers in Lower Fairview committing vandalism, trying to break into parked vehicles, riding ebikes or dirt bikes that aren’t street legal, harassing people, or generally causing a disturbance.

“In some instances, these youths have evaded police when confronted.” said Nelson Police Department.

“These types of calls take up police resources and are a nuisance to the public. The NPD would prefer not to have to pursue charges against this group of individuals; we ask that parents and guardians pay attention to the behaviour of their adolescents so that it does not continue to escalate.”
