Canada Day fireworks in Nelson

Nelson Fire & Rescue services are asking everyone to stay safe, be aware, and have fun  this Canada Day, Monday July 1.

The Nelson Fire Department is looking forward to delivering another mesmerizing and safe fireworks display this Canada Day at 10pm at Lakeside park.

They are asking all boat owners moored next to the lakeside soccer fields at lakeside park to move their boats outside of the firework firing zone (along soccer fields).

Boat owners can relocate their boats to the area west of duck bay, by the mall, or beyond the soccer fields towards the beach.

Be advised that Firefighters will be setting up the fireworks at 7pm.

They look forward to seeing everyone enjoying the show.
