Nelson Rod and Gun / BC Wildlife Federation “fishing forever” event. June 15/16.
2x one day events. In BOTH cases we take people out on cottonwood lake and troll for stocked rainbows. The participant gets a 30 to 45 minute boat trip (tin boat with electric motor) then get a burger or dog, drink and chips. No cost at all to the participant or their caregiver/ parent. Everything supplied Rod/reels/bait etc. no licence needed!! If they catch a fish they get a free rod/reel set.
The Saturday participants are shut ins, elderly, disabled etc – only requirement is a caregiver must accompany and be responsible for them.
The Sunday FATHERS DAY participants are children up to 14 accompanied by parents.
