A gastrointestinal outbreak at Mountain Lake seniors community in Nelson has been declared over, but not before taking a life.
Interior Health says one person died and one person was taken to hospital among the 26 residents and 21 staff who were affected.
The outbreak began May 22 and was declared over yesterday. It followed similar outbreaks at Jubilee Manor in Nelson as well as at facilities in Trail and Creston.
