Access problems to a major Trail facility could affect voter turnout for two significant upcoming dates.
This from councillor Robert Cacchioini who says he’s been approached by a number of elderly and disabled residents about their troubles entering and exiting Cominco Arena.
He explains the re-designed entrance makes it hard to drop people off and the ramp from the adjacent parking lot is too steep for anyone using a wheelchair or walker.
It will host voting for the pipe bridge referendum next month and the civic election in November.
Staff and the Ministry of Transportation are looking at possible entrance reconfiguration.
