Civic Theatre begins plans for two new screens

The Civic Theatre is putting plans in place to add two new screens.

Executive Director Eleanor Stacey presented to City Council this week.

She says expansion was always been a goal for the Board.

2017 was a busy year for the Civic Theatre.

Chair of the theatre’s External Committee Brian May says they had about 45, 000 visitors.

The Civic will seek grants and other sources of revenue to help cover the estimated $3-million cost, with the hopes of breaking ground next year.
