Protest this weekend against Kinder Morgan Pipeline

A protest against the Kinder Morgan Pipeline is planned in Nelson this weekend.

It’s happening at Ward and Baker Streets at noon tomorrow.

Organizer Sandra Hartline says they have a number of concerns, including the possibility of an oil spill.

She says it’s not the first protest in Nelson, nor will it be the last event.

The Nelson Chapter of the Council of Canadians is putting on the event in solidarity with tomorrow’s protests in metro Vancouver by the First Nations Coast Protectors.
