The Regional District of Central Kootenay is going back to the table with Recycle BC
RDCK Chair Karen Hamling says they’re still negotiating services for the district.
Recycle BC proposed removing 13 depots which would leave seven for the area.
Hours for the depots would be shorter and there would be no added curbside pick-up.

Hamling says they changes wouldn’t be what residents are used to.
She says district directors have asked her and CAO Stuart Horn to approach Environment Minister George Heyman if things don’t move forward.
The Regional District and Recycle BC have been negotiating new services since last November.
