Nelson city council is voting to put a moratorium on recreational cannabis shops.
The town wants to change a zoning bylaw to restrict opening of new recreational cannabis businesses until July.
Mayor Deb Kozak says they want public input on how best to move forward after the legalisation of recreational pot in the summer.
She says they’ll be gathering public input over the next few months.
