Nelson’s 2018 property assessment shows value has increased for the average home.
According to BC assessment the percentage change in value for this year was 9.3% – a typical home went from $378,000 to $413,000.
Deputy Assessor Ramaish Shah partly contributes the increase to high demand and lack of available property.
He says stable markets generally saw their assessments rise between 5% and 10% for 2018.
