Nelson city council has agreed to consult the public about recreational cannabis sales.
Mayor Deb Kozak says they’ll hire a facilitator and seek feedback.
Kozak explains some of the questions they’ll pose to youth and health agencies, seniors groups, the business community, and others.
Kozak says in the meantime they won’t allow any recreational dispensaries to set up shop.

The city already has six medical dispensaries.
The province is expected to make an announcement this morning about recreational cannabis regulations in BC.
The feds want it legalized by next July.
