The city of Nelson is targeting the abuse of designated handicapped stalls in an attempt to ease the parking shortage.
City Manager Kevin Cormack says they will introduce a two hour maximum stay.
Also while handicapped pass holders will still be able to park for free at designated spots they’ll now have to pay at regular meters.
In another move a pay station is to be installed for the 400 to 500 blocks of Hall Street as a replacement for the meters.
