Cocaine, MDMA seized in Nelson traffic stop

Nelson police have seized what they say is a “significant” amount of cocaine and several hundred tablets of MDMA following a traffic stop last week downtown.

A 25-year-old Nelson man and 20-year-old New Denver woman were arrested.

They’re each charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.

The pair were released on a promise to appear in court June 27 and conditions to not have any contact with each other.
