Leafs’ playoff run ends

The Beaver Valley Nitehawks will play for the Kootenay Conference title.

They swept the Nelson Leafs in the best of seven Neil Murdoch Division finals.

In game three Friday in Nelson the Hawks won 3-2 in overtime.

They beat the Leafs 4-1 the next night in game four.

Leafs coach Mario DiBella says it was a close series.

The Hawks will face either the Creston Valley Thunder Cats or the Kimberley Dynamiters in round 3.
