Special radar equipment is being used for a second straight day in an effort to find the bodies of three young men thought to be in Slocan Lake near New Denver.
Vernon Search and Rescue brought their underwater remote vehicle yesterday to scour the very deep water where the canoe capsized – estimated at up to 700 feet in parts.
RCMP Sergeant Darryl Little says despite no signs of the men they are continuing today.
Little says they are optimistic they will find the bodies of the missing youth ages 15 to 21.
They’re thought to have perished in the boating accident Saturday which was already claimed the life of a young woman.
