Mungall backs Balfour as ferry landing site

Nelson-Creston MLA Michelle Mungall says the Balfour ferry terminal should be left where it is.

Mungall took part in Sunday’s swim-in that saw over 300 people demonstrate support for the Queens Bay beach.

She says constituents who have approached her are almost unanimously of the same opinion.

But she acknowledges some East Shore residents prefer the Queens Bay option.

Mungall says more frequent sailings should be possible even while keeping the western terminal in Balfour.
