Nelson city council has endorsed a series of recommendations to regulate short-term rentals.
But student researcher Alex Thumm says the amendments won’t be adopted just yet.
The changes — including a new sliding-scale business license fee — would take effect in 2017.
The city is also considering waiving fees to encourage more long-term housing.
