A Slocan Valley man accused of animal cruelty will stand trial at the end of August.
Joao Vieira faces four counts after the SPCA seized 29 animals from his Winlaw property early this year.
The agency said the animals were kept in overcrowded and inadequate conditions.
They included sheep, goats, horses, large-breed dogs, puppies, a cow, and a rooster.
Two days have been set aside for the trial.
