The city of Nelson has publicly congratulated two LVR Bombers sports teams – the Senior Boys Rubgy and Senior Girls Soccer squads.
The rugby team had a stellar season. They went 15-0 for the year on their way to claiming the AA tier 2 Provincial Championship in the spring.
Prop Michael Caldecott says it was a great group effort.
The Bombers went down to the wire in the championship game – winning 13-12 in the final in Abbotsford.

Caldecott says the Bombers will be losing a few key players this summer but expects the team to be competitive next season.
Council also recognised the LVR girls Provincial Soccer champions.
