Assisted dying legislation has no impact on local hospice society

A local hospice society says assisted dying is not a topic on their radar.

President of the Creston Valley Hospice Society, June Price Moseanko says it is beyond the scope of their role in the community.

Price Moseanko  says this may differ with each individual hospice society.

The federal government has until midnight tonight to put their doctor-assisted dying legislation into action.

The senate agreed to it in principle, but sent it on to their legal committee for review, and has adjourned until tomorrow.
