The Mayor Of Grand Forks says he’s saddened and disappointed by the low turn-out for Saturday’s by election.
Frank Konrad says this was an opportunity for the citizens to take a direct part in the democractic process.
He notes there was such a strong push from some a few months ago to get the vacant council seat filled and yet there was such a low turn-out.
Bev Tripp won the by election with 280 votes.
Only 30% of registered voters turning up at the polls.
