Local temperature records tumbled yesterday and we will almost certainly have more today and tomorrow as it gets up to 28 and 29 degrees.
Castlegar hit 27.1 degrees, surpassing the previous high for April 18th set in 1962.
And in Trail it got to 27.2, breaking a record from 1943.
Today’s date in temperature history sees most local highs of under 25 degrees.
So they are expected to be broken by a big margin today, and likely again tomorrow.
