The accomplice in a series of armed robberies in our region two years ago will remain behind bars until her sentencing later this Spring.
Krista Kalmikoff has been convicted of breaching the bail conditions she’s been under since her arrest in 2014.
In her latest court appearance in Nelson Tuesday it was heard that she had confessed to using cocaine the day before she was involved in a car crash in Salmo in January. A few weeks ago she was also convicted of marijuana possession following that crash.
28 year old Kalmikoff is expected to be sentenced in May for her role as get-away driver for her then partner Andrew Stevenson. He robbed two Nelson financial institutions in April 2014.
