In KIJHL playoff action the Beaver Valley Nitehawks grabbed a 1-0 win in Nelson to sweep their best of seven Neil Murdoch Division semi final series against the leafs.
They’ll meet either the Castlegar Rebels or the Grand Forks Border Burins.
That series is tied up at two.
The Creston Valley Thunder Cats also advanced to the next round with a 4-2 win in Invermere Saturday to sweep their Eddie Mountain Division semi finals with the Columbia Valley Rockies.
They’ll face the winner of the Kimberley Dynamiters versus Fernie Ghostriders series.
In the BCHL Saturday in Trail the Smoke-Eaters finished their season with a 7-2 loss to the Vernon Vipers.
Smokies forward Connor Brown-Maloski says there is a lot to look forward to for next season.
And in BCIHL action the Selkirk Saints were two and on the road against SFU and Trinity Western University.
