Two local curlers are part of BC’s new seniors title-winning team.
Nelson’s Fred Thomson and Trail’s Don Freschi were among the foursome to win the championship in Richmond on Sunday.
Thomson, Freschi and Kelowna-based skip Bob Ursel also played together at The Brier back in 2005 but they didn’t win the national title.
Thomson says grabbing the seniors national crown in Digby, Nova Scotia this spring would be special.
