City councilor Carol Dobie says after being denied federal funding from the Canada 150 program, the group is seeking a grant from the CBT.
The CBT’s new Recreation Infrastructure Grant program could potentially fund 70% of the project if approved.
Dobie says the denial for federal monies was a “huge let-down”.
The application must be delivered to the CBT by Narch 16th to be eligible.
