Trail bridge lights project approved

Trail city council has signed off on lighting up the Victoria Street bridge.

In what has been described as a “landmark project” the bridge will be equipped with a new lighting system as well as a sound recognition technology.

Jason Milne is the chair of the Bridge Lighting Project and says it wont come cheap.

But a campaign selling individual lights to residents has helped put a good amount of funds towards the project.

Milne says they will unveil the new lighting system for next year’s Silver City Days festival.
