The Nelson Cares Society which oversees the Age-friendly Initiative has launched the third phase of its “moving together” project.
It’s a social initiative that works to help seniors navigate our transit system.
Here’s Age-friendly Coordinator Corrine Younie.
She says that they aren’t looking for additional service during the province-wide three-year transit funding freeze, but hope to make some changes to existing service.
This may include adding a bathroom break for some of the longer routes for example.
