Complaints of campers and transients at Nelson’s Cottonwood Falls Park have been keeping police busy.
And according to the Izushi Society, the group that maintains the park, they have been scaring some visitors away.
Sergeant Dino Falcone with the Nelson Police Department explains some of the challenges they have been facing.
Some of the issues associated with the campers include nudity, leaving human feces, drug and alcohol use, littering and fighting.
Falcone adds that a committee has been established to help make the park more welcoming for everyone.
