Trail City Council has authorized $30,000 worth of repairs for the concrete wall along the Columbia River.
Engineer Technician John Howes says the river wall is an important component of flood protection for Trail.
He says this leads to annual detailed inspections.
Howes says the last time they conducted work like this on the wall was in the 1980s.
He says the damage is due to natural wear and tear but the 2012 high water event did lead to more thorough investigations of the wall.
