Trail Council denying a debt cancellation request from the Library is an indication the board needs to operate within their means.
This from city CAO David Perehudoff as Council voted against wiping out over $17,000 the library owes from 2014.
Perehudoff says they expect the library to operate financially as the City does.
The City grants a budget to the library each year with the hopes they can operate within those financial restrictions.
However the library has amassed a debt of almost $139,000.
