Congratulations to our very own Vista Radio Kootenay reporter Storrm Lennie for being named as a runner-up in the Broadcast Dialogue Canadian Radio Awards, for Best Reporter in a small market category.
“Storrm demonstrates excellence in her ability to present local, regional and provincial news with passion, clarity and credibility, all while showcasing talent, creativity, hard work and dedication to her local communities across the Kootenays.” said News Director Kate Brown.
Storrm joined Vista Radio’s 103.5 The Bridge FM in September 2022 as on-air afternoon host before making the move to news in September 2023.
“It’s a testament to not only the work Storrm does each and every week, but her passion, talent and how far she has come in her development as a news reporter this year.” said Joe Gabor, Vice-President Vista Radio.
Since joining news, Storrm has been an active member of the Nelson, Castlegar, Grand Forks, Creston, Trail and Rossland communities, delivering local news to listeners and readers.
“I’m very honoured to be recognized so early on in my career. I am so grateful for the communities who have welcomed me and for the experiences I’ve been provided with. I’m looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for me and my career.” said Lennie.
