Young boy dies in collision near Nancy Greene Lake

An eight year old boy from Nelson has lost his life in a car collision on Saturday morning, December 7, at the Nancy Greene Lake Junction, where Highway 3 and 3B meet.

BC Highway Patrol Commander Sgt Vince LeBlanc says highway patrol was called in to assist the Castlegar RCMP detachment.

“Unfortunately, a young boy lost his life during that event and much of it was to do with bad road conditions and weather.” said Sgt LeBlanc.

The fatal incident is under investigation and we will provide more details as they come in.
