Nelson Leafs suffer back to back loses over the weekend

The Nelson Leafs suffered back-to-back losses over the weekend, first going down Friday night 5 to 2 against the Castlegar Rebels.

Kwentyn Oss led the Rebels with a hat-trick, while Carter Peters scored the winner against the Leafs with his fifth goal.

Rebel’s goalie Mason Hillier made 37 saves to earn his second win while Leaf’s Jacob Armstrong stopped 32, with their only goals of the games coming from Cale Nachai and Xaiden Bignell.

On Saturday the Leafs returned home to face the Beaver Valley Nitehawks.

Carsyn Crawford opened the scoring for the Leafs, and Kane Kennedy scored their second goal. But it wasn’t enough to keep the visitors out, going down 6 to 2 on the final buzzer.
