The Regional District of Central Kootenay’s Board Chair Aimee Watson will maintain her position for another year.
Watson was acclaimed to serve as Board Chair by the RDCK Board of Directors during the November 14 Board meeting. She has held the position since 2014 and will now serve her seventh term.
“I would like to thank the Board for their continued support and trust in allowing me to lead such a hard-working group who are so dedicated to their communities,” said Watson. “It is an honour, and I am truly inspired to work with this group. I look forward to supporting everyone over the next year.”
For the Vice-Chair position, the Board elected Village of Nakusp Councillor and RDCK Director Aidan McLaren-Caux. He has served on the RDCK Board since 2022.
“I am grateful for the opportunity and humbled by the support of my peers. I am looking forward to working with the Board and staff to serve our residents over the coming year,” said McLaren-Caux.
Both Chair and Vice-Chair positions are one-year terms.
