Nelson Police seeking help to identify break and enter suspect

Nelson Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect of a break and enter at Walmart in October.

On Saturday, October 19, at 2am, a person has gained entry to Walmart on Lakeside Drive.

Staff notified police at 10am the same day after CCTV footage from the business shows an unknown male entering the premises, looking around in the warehouse, and then attempting to steal a television, before being noticed by a staff member.

The employee followed the suspect, forcing him to leave the stolen goods behind. However, he was able to leave the building the same way he entered, without being stopped.

The suspect is described as wearing a red sweater, black hat, blue medical
mask, black pants and black shoes.

Nelson Police are still working to identify him. Anyone who recognizes this individual or who has information related to the case is urged to contact the Nelson Police Department by calling 250-354-3919 or emailing [email protected].
