Nelson police seeking public assistance for arson footage

The Nelson Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in providing video
footage of the arsons that occurred on July 24th,in Nelson between the times of
6:00pm and 7:30pm.

The fires occurred at Gyro Park, the 1000 block of Front St, and in the alley behind the 900 block of Simpson Road.

The accused, David Travis remains in custody facing arson charges.

Footage and/or photos of the fires will assist police and Crown Counsel with the prosecution
of the accused at his upcoming court date.

The Nelson Police Department asks that anyone with video or photo evidence who has not
