BC Premier awards Ken Kalesnikoff a King Charles Coronation Medal

Castlegar’s Ken Kalesnikoff has been honoured with a King Charles III Coronation Medal for leading one of the most successful multigenerational family-owned mass timber companies in BC.

According to the Office of the Premier, the King Charles III Coronation Medal was established in 2023 to mark the coronation of His Majesty, which occurred on May 3, 2023.

The medal, administered by the Chancellery of Honours at Rideau Hall, will be presented to approximately 30,000 Canadians, with BC allotted 551.

Recipients represent a diverse group of individuals who have made significant contributions to British Columbia or to a particular region or community in the province, or have attained an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to BC.
