The Kootenay Kestrels has battled it out against the Cranbrook Bandits for a spot in the Provincials Kootenay zone playoffs in a best 2 out of 3 format.
The Kestrels came out strong with a 12-4 win in Game 1.
Game 2 was suspended in the bottom of the 4th due to lightning, with a score of 8-5 for the Kestrels.
The game resumed Monday, August 5, with the Kestrels securing a nail-biting win, 8-7, and a shot a Provincials later this week.
