All three referendums on financing new fire trucks in the Regional District of Central Kootenay were easily approved but very few people voted.
The North Shore vote passed 55-5, Winlaw passed 79-24, and Tarrys passed 55-14.
Snow and slippery roads may have contributed to the low turnout during general voting day on Saturday.
It means borrowing of up to $750,000 for new trucks for the three departments will be paid back over 20 years.
The purchases would have gone ahead regardless, but without voter approval the RDCK would have had to find a different way to finance them.
Unofficial results are as followed. Official results will be reported by Wednesday.
