UPDATED: Selous Creek controlled burn delayed

A prescribed burn planned this week in the Selous Creek area about two kilometers south of Nelson has been delayed.

It was supposed to start as early as Friday but the Regional District of Central Kootenay says it’s now on hold.

The work covering 65.2 hectares was to reduce wildfire threats as part of a larger project that has been carried out over the last five years.
