Former councillor takes another run in Grand Forks

A candidate looking to land back on council says she would bring sound fiscal experience.

Christine Thompson served as a councillor from 2008 to 2011 where she said she had a resolution support by the Association of Kootenay and Boundary Local Governments and the Union of BC Municipalities when it comes to any unredeemed properties being reverted back to the city.

Thompson unsuccessfully challenged mayor Brian Taylor in the 2011 election and says she continues to have an issue that he does not live in the city and therefore is not a local taxpayer.
