A candidate for mayor of Grand Forks admits he’s controversial.
Peter Demski has a junk removal business and says he’s had some run-ins with the law about his trailer park.
He figures he’s an underdog.
Demski is not short of ideas.
One of them it to work with Community Futures and welfare agencies. That’s to get people loans so they can start small businesses and address all the boarded up sites in town.
He also wants a quota system where metered water is free up to a point and then the big wasters get hit hardest with fees thereafter.
