TRAIL, B.C – Trail RCMP have a hot candidate for the “Service member of the month”-title.
Police dog Jimmy used his nose during a traffic stop in Trail recently – and helped get deadly Fentanyl off the streets.
According to a news release, police pulled over a car driving with a burnt-out headlight when suspicion arouse around the driver.
That is where the furry service member enters the story.
Police sat 3 grams of Fentanyl was found during the stop, as well as drug trafficking paraphernalia.
RCMP say the investigation is ongoing and charges will be forwarded to Crown Counsel.
