NELSON, B.C – NDP leader Jagmeet Singh will be hosting a meet-and-greet at the Hume Hotel Tuesday evening.
It is the second time in less than one year that Singh visits the Kootenays.
During his last visit in November of last year, Singh made comments on the housing crisis in the region, calling for immediate investments.
Tuesdays appearance, scheduled for 7 PM at Hume Hotel, is held together with MP Wayne Stetski, who recently introduced “A Green New Deal” in Nelson last week, outlining the party’s proposed plan to combat climate change.
NDP currently sit third in the polls, behind the Liberals and the leading Conservatives.
Their roughly 14 percent in the latest polls, published on Sunday, is a drop of five points since mid-July.
The federal election is held on October 21.
