CASTLEGAR, B.C. – The team behind Castlegars first craft brewery is hoping to open their doors by the end of the summer.
Tailout Brewing will be serving five varieties of craft beers in their new location by the Fireside Inn, right under Grand Buddha Bistro.
“We are all fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts so we want to bring that style into the brewery”, owner and general manager Hedin Nelson-Chorney told MyNelsonNow.com
None of the five owners have a background in running a restaurant or pub, and Nelson-Chorney says he quit his job of ten years with Parks Canada to pursue the dream of a craft brewery.
Tailout Brewing is anticipating a start somewhere in august, although it could take longer depending on how the next month of working goes.
Hedin Nelson-Chorney says he thinks his team has found the right profile to be successful in Castlegar.
“We scoured around for places that did not have a brewery and Castlegar fit the bill. It has outdoor recreation, and the community is awesome”.
