SLOCAN, B.C – A battery manufacturer in the Slocan valley might see their business booming shortly.
Yesterday the provincial government announced a grant of closer to $300.000 to battery manufacturer Eagle Graphite.
The company produces batteries for clean energy vehicles
“That is good for the Kootenays. That is more family supporting jobs here in the Kootenays, and jobs in a sector that is growing and is helping our planet do the right thing in terms of reducing our greenhouse gas emissions”, says Michele Mungall, Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources and Nelson-Creston MLA.
The money is part of the provinces Clean BC initiative.
